The countdown has already started for a brand new year 2016 and Microsoft has already released CRM 2016 version. So much fun ahead.

Microsoft is always understands customer and users pain areas in Dynamics CRM and addresses all problem in new versions. The latest version of CRM includes excellent features.
This is how new version of CRM looks like. So beautiful….. I love it.. 🙂

My aim here is to get familiar with all UI screens and new features of CRM 2013/2015/2016 so that it will be easy to work with latest version of CRM without any hitches.

User Interface Enhancements
The left bar, which took about 20% of the screen is now placed on the top. This new bar is always visible and you can access all the different sections of the CRM system at any time.
The Navigation are is mainly divided into 3 sections.
- Main Navigation
- Records Bar
- Recently Viewed Records

The navigation model is now streamlined. CRM 2011 sitemap is now moved to top command bar. This ensures more space for customer data.
- No more Pop-ups
- Smooth touch enabled
- Streamlined flow for Information display

CRM 2011 Contextual top Ribbon bar is replaced by command bar.
- Narrow command buttons introduced
- More focus on Customer Data

- Only 5 commands is visible and extended commands are combined by a ellipse button.
- Command bar is customized by Sitemap XML
- Commands can be customized by Ribbon XML

Recently viewed Option
A small clock icon appears at top which combines all recently viewed records like entities, views etc.

Quick Create
With this option we can create a record of different entity while working with other entities.

You can enable “Allow Quick Create”option to add an entity in Quick Create options.

Some entities such as Faxes and Service Activities cannot be enabled for Global Quick Create. Conversely, the standard Activity entities that are enabled for Global Quick Create by default cannot have this option disabled. The other entities such as Account, Case, Competitor, Contact, Lead and Opportunity that are enabled for Global Quick Create by default can have this option disabled.
