Automatic simply means that you can’t repair it yourself.
If you have worked on Duplicate Detection Rules then I am pretty much sure that you have faced this scenario. Now let me tell what exactly I want to notice here.
Suppose you have an Entity “Customer” and you have configured two published duplicate detection rules against that entity.
All of the sudden after some day you found that the duplicate detection rules are showing as unpublished. When you investigate how the rules are modified using advance find or SQL query then you will find that the modified by showing as “SYSTEM”.
So surprising !!! Not really.
The Fact
If you are deploying a solution in the target environment containing an entity even nothing has been changed in the entity, all published Duplicate Detection Rules related to that entity will be automatically unpublished by SYSTEM. No Wonder.
What to Do for this scenario
- After deployment in target environment, Check which Duplicate Detection rules are unpublished by SYSTEM and modified on same date.
- Manually publish the Rules .
