Modern App Designer for Model-driven Apps very efficient to design (bye bye classic designer)

Model driven apps are game changers in Power Apps revolution. But still the app designer was not very robust so Microsoft has releases new App designer. Now lets see how we can leverage the New Modern app designer to create model driven apps in no-code fashion.

Login to Power Apps and select +Create. Choose Model-driven app from blank. as soon as you choose model-driven app it will ask you to use Modern Designer or Classic Designer.

Choose Modern App Designer and click Create.

Provide a Name and Description of your app.

Here you go the Modern App Designer for Model-driven apps.

Lets us understand what options are available. In left panel we have 3 sections. First section is pages which can be used to add new pages to the app.

Second option is for Navigation design.

and third option is to associate data.

Now let us add some Pages and navigations for our app. Click on + New Page. You can choose either a Dashboard or Table based View or Form.

Let us choose Dashboard and select the dashboard you want to add to your app.

Now your App will add a navigation and display the Dashboard selected.

Add another page and this time select Table based View and choose Student related tables (its of your choice).

Now the App will look like the below.

Let us go to Navigation option edit the links and Rename the Groups and Area by using property window at right side.

Click on Add and choose new Group and again add a new Subarea indie the group and choose Course table.

Now our app is ready Save and Publish. Then Click on Play button at top right corner.

Now our APP is ready and in action.
